Solvent Based Epoxy Paint

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION & USE

Epoxy resin based, polyamide hardener, dual-component solvent bright is top coat paint.  In order to protect Concrete, cement plaster, asbestos/ cement and metal surfaces against Atmospheric, chemical and mechanical factors: refineries, petrochemical and other industrial companies, the  Wine storage tanks, waste water, beer and malt in the pharmaceutical industry, food industry, in hospitals; as a marine group all surfaces of boats and ships  the final coat is applied after anticorrosive primer.

COMPOSITION (NOMINAL)

Pigment: Lightfast pigment

Binder: Epoxy resin

Solvent: Epoxy thinner

 

SOLIDS – SPECIFIC GRAVITY

Volume Solids % 57 ± 2 (As mixture by weight)

Specific Gravity 1.10 ± 0.10 gr/cm3   (@ 20 °C)

SURFACE PREPARATION

The application surfaces should be cleaned from the dirt, oil, dust and all loosen structured swollen layers, the faults on the surface should be removed.

 

APPLICATION

Application Type: Application surface must be cleared from loose parts, oil and other chemicals and must be clean, dry and crack-free. Before applying using suitable Southwind Epoxy Primer to ground strongly recommended. To obtain a smooth surface, leveling the surface should be with epoxy putty after epoxy primer. Product preparation and application: A and B components are mixed in a separate container. Applied to surface with roll and air spraying. For Other floors are expected at least 6-8 hours. Minimum two coats are recommended. Application Temperature: Surface temperature minimum 10 ° C

 

SPREADING RATE

For every layer 0,150-250 kg/m² (Varies depending on the condition of the surface).

  

REDUCTION

For roll and brush application rate of 10%, for air spraying application rate of 20% thinned with epoxy thinner.

 

DRYING TIMES

Drying Time : 20 ° C in 48 hours can be opened to light     traffic.               

7 days for normal traffic should be expected.

 

CLEANING UP

 Clean up with soap and water. After cleaning up be sure to flush spray equipment with solvent to prevent rusting following manufacturer’s instructions. Dispose of can in accordance with local authority guidelines.

 

PRECAUTIONS / WARNINGS

Keep out of reach of children. Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. If the product comes in contact with the eyes rinse immediately with plenty of water. To remove splashes from skin, use soap and water or a recognized skin cleaner. Do not take internally. If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand. Dispose of contents to a waste disposal facility in accordance with local/national regulations. Safety data sheet available on request.

 

STORAGE

The product should be kept in a dry place, temperature between 10-35 °C in its original package, approximately 1 year if unopened. Lid should be closed tight when not in use. Not to be exposed to direct sunlight.
